Episode summary
Michael Portillo continues his journey from Ayr to Skye and investigates the parallel `roads' etched in the side of Glen Roy - one of the geological mysteries of the 19th century. He also finds out how the Victorians put a weather observatory on the top of Ben Nevis, and crosses the Glenfinnan viaduct by steam train

Fun and viewer review
I am amazed at the lack of comments! I took the trip from Fort William to Malaig in mid-September 2012 by regular ScotRail service. The charm of the Jacobite may have been lost in the trip but the scenery was breathtaking nonetheless! This Yank thanks you very much for making this series available here!
